Thermal drying of mud and sludge

In this type of installations, evaporation of water contained in sludge by a contribution of thermal energy is achieved.

The operation is always performed with the objective that the environmental impact is minimized. With this method, the following effects are obtained:

  • Reduction of the volume of sludge generated
  • Assessment of product generated
  • Cost reduction of sludge management
  • Minimization of environmental impact

From Global Omnium we manage two types of Thermal drying:

  • Thermal drying as developed in the QuartBenager plant: "High temperature" drying, with a contact-convection process and an evaporation capacity of 4,000 l/h
  • Thermal drying as the one carried out in the Ibi plant: "Low temperature" drying, with a convection process and an evaporation capacity of 500 l/h
