Water quality

The sanitary criteria for water quality for human consumption in Spain are regulated via the Real Decree 03/2023. There is also complementary autonomous legislation, such as the decree 58/2006 of the Valencian Community.

Access to SINAC

The National Information System for Water Consumption (SINAC) is a sanitary information system that collects data about the characteristics of supply and quality of water used for human consumption that is being supplied to the public in Spain. This system is currently supported by an ICT application via the internet. By selecting an area and supply zone you will be able to see what type of catchment there is, as well as the results of analysis carried out in the distribution network.
